A TRADITIONAL FOLK DINNER IN ISCHIA


Excursion starts: Description
Monday

Dinner starts at 21:00		 We invite you to spend a wonderful evening, surrounded by the colors and flavor of the island of Ischia, taste traditional Ischia cuisine at Zi Carmela restaurant and enjoy a real Neapolitan live music. At the restaurant you will have to choose between two main courses: “Taste of Epomeo Mountain”, with the main dish - a famous Ischia rabbit, and “Taste of sea”. For desert you will be offered a tiramisu and a rum baba and try best wines of Ischia and “Limoncello”liquor. Wonderful and unique in the world Neapolitan songs and serenades performed by local folk group will create an unforgettable atmosphere of that south evening’s flavor.



ROME


Excursion starts: Description
Tuesday

At 4:30 am departure by ferryboat to the Port of Naples - Porto di Massa. A drive by bus from the port to Rome city, approximately 3 hours.
At 14:30 (approx.) departure from Rome to the port of Naples. On the way to Rome and on return, short stop breaks (15 – 20 minutes) at one of the Autogrills.
Return to Ischia by taking a ferryboat at 18:30.
There would not be enough even “two lives” to see all places in Rome, as the Eternal City has few centers: historical – on the Palatine Hill (where Rome began) governmental - on the Quirinale ( where the president palace is), religious - in Vatican city, and St. Peter’s square and “tourist” - on Piazza Venezia, where all “real Roman” in Rome. In front of you will appear the Eternal city with all its splendour of different eras. Walking tour will start from the top of Rome Baroque Architecture – The Trevi Fountain, followed by a visit of legend Panteon, head to Piazza Venezia, after you’ll get to Capitoline Hill, pass by Forums and get to the Colosseum (without entering inside). Walking tour ends around the Arch of Constantine. Continue by bus to Vatican City (dress code required), will admire the numerous bridges across the Tiber river, and Sant Angelo Castle. The final part of excursion will ends with a visit of St. Peters Basilica in Vatican City.



LET’S LEARN ITALIAN COOKING (COOKING CLASSES)

Price includes: a lesson + transfer hotel – restaurant – hotel, lunch with tasting of prepared dishes during the lesson.
Beginning at 11 am.
Duration 3 hours.
Italy – it’s a history, monuments and archaeological parks, telling us about exciting past civilizations, and not only. Who of you at least once have not visited an Italian restaurant home? You might have tasted the delicious dishes of world famous Italian cuisine, such as mozzarella, seafood, flavoured with olive oil, and of cause, famous Italian sweets and cookies…. During this cooking lesson you will have a chance together with master chef Nicola not only to learn how to cook the most common and delicious dishes, but to taste prepared dishes during the lunch or bring it and share it with somebody back home. All these awaits for you at the “Zi Carmela” restaurant, at the Italian cooking lesson.



CAPRI


Excursion starts: Description
Wednesday

Departure by “ISCHIASEA” speedboat from the main port of Ischia at 8:40.
Arrival to Capri around 10 am.
Departure from Capri at 16:45.
A drive by bus from the port of Marina Grande to Anacapri municipality by riding through the mountain road, with a spectacular view over the small island. Walking tour starts from Anacapri , San Michele street. Visit a villa of San Michele or take a cable car and get on top of Solaro Mountain (both are optional). Visit the sandals handmade store and taste a traditional “Fragolino” liquor. During the second part of the day you’ll move to the capital of the island – Capri. Walk to the piazzetta, the heart of Capri’s shopping and nightlife area. See the house where lived and worked famous Maxim Gorky. Visit the most ancient perfume factory of the island, continue your tour with a visit of Augustus Gardens, with a marvellous scenic view over the symbol of Capri – the famous Faraglioni rocks. From 12:30 to 13:15 – lunch break (optional, and paid on spot). Enjoy some free time for shopping too.



AMALFI COAST


Excursion starts: Description
Wednesday

Departure by ferryboat at 6:25 from the Port of Naples - Porto Di Massa.
Return to Ischia, by taking a ferryboat at 18:30 from Port of Pozzuoli or at 19:00 from Port of Naples - Porto di Massa.
On your drive along the famed Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Coast, winding along breathtaking curves you’ll enjoy magnificent views over picturesque villages and cities, such as Vico Equence – Positano – Furore and Amalfi. During one of the stops for some picture taking, you’ll be able to admire Sorrento city, visit the Torquato Tasso square and Saint Antonio Church. Followed by next stop - in Positano and enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. Once you’ll get to Amalfi, you’ll get a free time to explore the city on your own, visit the Cathedral of St. Andrew (4 Euros an entrance fee).



BARI


Excursion starts: Description

Departure from Ischia at 4:30 am by taking a ferryboat to the Port of Naples – Porto di Massa.
Return to Ischia from the Port of Pozzuoli at 16:30 or from Port of Naples – Porto di Massa at 17:30.
A drive by bus to the city of Bari for one of the most important Orthodox pilgrimage - to relics of Saint Nicholas from Myra. In March 2009 the entire church complex including facilities for pilgrims, was officially returned to the Orthodox Church of Russia by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano. The church has been fully restored and Orthodox pilgrims have the opportunity to pray there during their stay. The church was granted permission to serve the Divine Liturgy in the crypt of the Basilica of St. Nicholas. The Divine Liturgy on the relics of St. Nicholas is served once a week (on Thursdays). The first stop on the way to Bari – Autogrill. Arrival to Bari around 9:30, visit of Basilica di San Nicola and participation during Orthodox Divine Liturgy in Orthodox San Nicolas Church. Beginning of Liturgy at 10 am. Lunch and some free time (optional) after. Departure from Bari at 12:45. On your return - the stop at one of the Autogrills.



MEDITERRANEAN GARDENS


Excursion starts: Description
Thursday

Price includes: transfer hotel – winery – hotel, personal assistant, tasting of local products and wine.
Departure from hotel at 16:00.
Duration of excursion: approximately 2 hours.
Wines produced on this winery, such as “Biancolella” and “Per e Palummo” made from grapes, have a limited release and have been grown only by 5 residents of the island of Ischia. Wine’s production started here since 1805 year, and till now maintain the tradition of ancient craftsmanship. You’ll get to know the secrets of winery and wine production and see the whole it's territory. After a short presentation and history of winery and vineyards, you’ll taste the local snacks (made right on spot), together with a good glass of wine, of cause.



NAPLES + CASERTA

At 6:25 departure from Ischia by ferryboat to the port of Naples – Porto di Massa.
At 18:30 departure to Ischia from Port of Pozzuoli or at 19:00 from Porto di Massa (Naples).
Naples – the amazing and unique city. Even the Italians consider it “different” from all other cities of Italy. We advise you to do a walking tour around the Naples with our professional tour guide. You’ll visit Gesu Nuovo Square, “Spaccanapoli” – the historical center of Naples, where located: Santa Chiara Church, San Domenico Square, Sant Giorgio Armeno street. Your walk continues to Piazza Plebiscito, a noble piazza, undoubtedly the most famous square in Naples, visit the Royal Palace, Basilica of Saint Francis and Paola, San Carlo Opera House and the Umberto Gallery. The second part of the day you’ll continue with a visit of “Reggia di Caserta” – the largest royal residence built in Europe in ХVIII century, it was built by King Carlo III of Naples, the King of Two Sicilies and Bourbon dynasty (12 Euros entrance fee). The project of the palace belongs to a Neapolitan architect Luigi Vanvitelli. The ambitious Carl, ascended the Spanish throne after, wanted the residence become more beautiful and luxurious than the Palace of Versailles.



POMPEI

At 6:25 am departure by ferryboat to the Port of Naples - Porto di Massa.
At 18:30 - return to Ischia by ferryboat from the Port of Pozzuoli or at 19:00 - from the Porto di Massa (Naples).
A drive by bus with a professional tour guide will bring you to Pompei - the most interesting and important an open-air museum (entrance fee -13 Euros). In 2 hours time you will get a chance to visit the most ancient city and make an unforgettable journey through the past: see the Forum, gladiators barracks, elegant Basilica, big and small theatres, The Temple of Apollo, thermal baths and Pompeian mosaics. Continue your tour to the Vesuvius Mountain – the most beautiful volcano in Europe (entrance fee - 10 Euros).



NATURAL SPRING “NITRODI”

Departure from hotel at 10 am.
Duration of excursion: approximate 5 hours.
The water of Nitrodi Spring flows down from Buonopane mountain, hit the bottom of it, among the lava boulders. Nidtrodi’s water – it’s a soft water, good to use not only for bathing but also for drinking. The use of spring water is used in dermatology, and particular beneficial for indolent ulcers treatments, varicose, gastroenterology, urine and skin problems and many others. Nitrodi Natural Spring became famous and well known thanks to ancient Romans, who were the settlers of the first public thermal baths near this healthy natural source.
