Parade in period costumes of the feast of St. Alexander
Annually on 26th of August citizens of Ischia island celebrate the feast of St. Alexander which takes place near the Aragonese Castle, the historical procession in period costumes of different eras. The parade starts from the Aragonese Castle, moves along the main roads of the town of Ischia to St. Alexander Church, where the celebration continues. In addition to a costume parade, a possession accompanied by entertainments and performances by folk groups, same as the colour bearer. The Parade begins with the Greek – who  were the first colonists of the island of Ischia. Followed by members  of Renaissance  epoch, among of the famous ones such as -  the splendid Vittorio Colonna and Ferrante d’Avalos. Following, the members of Bourbon dynasty  - Carl III, Ferdinando IV, Gioacchino Murat and Federico II.

The feast of St. Anna
The Festa di Sant’Anna is held on July 26th each year in the borough of Ischia under the majestic Aragonese Castle. In the ancient village of Ischia Ponte, in the evening, the waters of the coast are painted in bright variety of colors, as hundreds of decorated and figurative boats are coming to take a part in the festival and see “the sea parade” near by. Each borough of the island of Ischia, and not only, builds a boat or raft with particular constructions, figures, or episodes of everyday’s life. As the basis – every team present the history and legends associated with the traditions of their places. Thousands of people are coming to see the most spectacular celebration of our island. The most anticipated event – the symbolic arson of Aragonese Castle, with remind of Saracens attacks,  underwent the island over the IX and X  centuries. The red glow encircles the Castle, emphasizes its powerful shapes and enhances the effect of the charm of past centuries.
 
15-th of June – The feast of St. Vito
The sunny city – commune of Forio celebrates the day of its protector in the middle of June. During these days, devoted to the cult of St. Vito, lots of people, local citizens and tourists are coming to the city center to pay him a tribute . Celebration consists of two parts: the first part – the traditional  - glorification of believers to Saint  protector, divine services on the main square and on the seafront. The second part consists of series of concerts. During the first part of celebration presented the Saint protector’s life and  his connection to municipality.  During the second and third parts numerous of Liturgies are taken place by the sea and on land, united in solemn procession by following the statue of Saint Vito. The celebration of the St. Vito ends with a massive fireworks, which will surprise children and adults too. Festa di San Vito is one of the most beautiful festivals of the island of Ischia hosts and is a must to see if you are on the island during this time.
